DIGITAL SECURITY

 Hey, hey, hey security maniacs! I know the internet is a very touchy subject, and so is the security we have while we are online. A lot of people don't like talking about it, and to be honest I don't blame them. However, since most people don't like getting very detailed about the way they surf the web. I will post a couple of posts in order to teach all of you some basic rules about digital security. You will find these posts below this one.  Also , I was planning on doing a quick voting session in order to see which tips you liked the most out of these posts (phishing links and password security). PASSWORD SECURITY

''I always use the same password for all my accounts and applications. I do not like to use complicated passwords because it is difficult to remember and too long. What do you think?....'' Bceuase of this, let's say, for example, you're in your home using your computer and all of a sudden a hacker gets a hold of your password for a certain website. Since it is only one website it should be okay right? WRONG. Most people use the same password for a wide number of websites. Therefore, in this post, I will be giving some tips in order to avoid this for those who don't like complicating your passwords. Or, for those who didn't know they were doing it and want to start preventing a future attack. 1-So, the first step to make our password more secure is, of course, to check the number of characters it has. For example, if we have a 6 letter password like ''Tomato'' then it would be advised to get a longer password of at least 8 characters or mo

PHISHING LINKS

''I have recently received emails and instant messages that look legitimate at first glance. These messages come with URLs that prompt you to input your personal information. In turn, I think It will steal my credentials and use them to access my accounts and personal data.'' Imagine this, you're in your house watching a movie, when all of a sudden you get an unknown email from a website you visit frequently. The email looks legitimate, but once you enter the website it tells you to enter your personal information, which makes it seem a little bit off. Well, don't rush and enter your information without reading this post, because this, like the example at the top of this post, might be a case of Phishing Links . Everyone gets an unknown email every once in a while. Or an email that looks legitimate and ends up being the other way around. While opening emails is completely fine and won't cause trouble, clicking the links from said emails can end up badly if y
