SSD

We've arrived to a controversial topic now. Should we use a HHD or a SSD? Some people believe HHDs are more reliable, but let me tell you, they're not. Unless you're going to barely use this PC (or you're going to use it for nothing big) then a HHD would be an okay option. Even then, I would still recommend a SSD. In terms of gaming, video editing, running programs or speed in general, the SSD comes out on top. It's more durable, makes less noise, it's more resistant and also quicker. However, it is true that HHD offer an easier way to recover your files, in case they have been damaged, and the price difference it has compared to an SSD can be seen as big. If what you're worried about is file damaging, that could be easily fixed by making a copy of your files in an external hard drive. Which you don't have to buy immediately with the PC.

For this PC, however, I have chosen to use an SSD. Since I see it as a better choice, together with a good external hard drive in case you want to save your files (like I said previously on this post, you don't need to buy it immediately). So, the Kingston NV2 1TB SSD PCle 4.0 NVMe Gen 4x4 is the SSD I have chosen, with 1TB that'll give you plenty of space to store anything you may need. However, I'll also link SSDs with smaller storage (and bigger storage, in case someone needs the space for something such as video editing, for example) in case someone doesn't want to spend their money on an SSD with a lot of storage that they will never use.

For further information about this topic, I'll link a very useful article in case someone still has their doubts.

-The 1TB SSD is 48,98€ with no discount being applied at the moment.

-For 500GB, the SSD I see best suited to be the Kingston NV2 500GB SSD PCIe 4.0 NVMe Gen 4x4. With the price being 36,99€.

-For 2TB, the Kingston NV2 2TB SSD PCIe 4.0 NVMe Gen 4x4 is the best option, being 98,99€.

-And for an external hard drive, the WD My Passport 1TB 2.5" USB 3.2 Black works wonders, with a price of 54,99€ with no discount.

For external hard drives that have less storage, all of WD's hard drives work great, and they have a wide selection too. If you don't like WD for whatever reason, samsung's external hard drives are surprisingly well made. However, they're a bit pricer because of the recent demand they have.
